Read on for the answers:

1) Porcelain veneers are: d) None of the above.
Modern porcelain veneers feel and look like natural teeth. I offer different veneer options: BECDEN, Da Vinci, and Lumineers. I can help choose the one that works for you.
2) Metal amalgam fillings are: c) Not as attractive, strong or safe as white fillings.

I use composite fillings, which are made of white plastic and a hardening agent. Unlike old-fashioned metal fillings, composite fillings are strong, safe, and natural-looking (they blend with your natural enamel!). White fillings do not crack easily; in fact, they strengthen teeth. Our fillings do not usually require as much tooth removal as metal fillings, and they do not contain mercury. If you already have metal amalgam fillings, I can replace them with composite fillings.

3) People with beautiful smiles are: a) Likely to be confident and successful.

A beautiful smile can improve your self esteem, as well as the way people look at you. While less-than-perfect teeth might embarrass you and make you afraid to smile, a beautiful smile will make you feel proud. When you smile, you show off your outer and inner beauty. A great smile is also a sign of good dental health!

4) Which of the following celebrities had smile makeovers? e) Both b and c.

Chris Rock had a  gapin his top front teeth. In 1997, he sought dental treatment to close the gap and to straighten his other teeth. Rosanna Arquette was once known for her signature buck teeth, caused by years of thumb sucking (she didn’t stop until age 11!), until she finally went to a dentist to correct and whiten them.

5) Smile makeovers are: b) A great way to improve confidence and health.

As you read above, a beautiful smile gives you confidence. A smile makeover does that, and it can be a great way to restore your teeth to a healthy state. When crooked, spaced, or crowded teeth are corrected, you can clean them more easily, which helps prevent decay. When a filling or crown is added to a tooth, it strengthens the tooth and prevents tooth loss. Smile restorations and makeovers do make you beautiful, but they also keep your mouth healthy. And smile makeovers are not only available for people with large incomes. I offer several financing options, including CareCredit, to make procedures affordable and attainable for everyone.
