What can you do in an hour? If you’re too busy for TV, you might can wash your car, color your hair, or walk the dog in about an hour. You might get in a grocery store visit or your kid’s soccer practice in one hour. But what if you could transform your image, improve your confidence, and fall in love with your smile in about an hour? Innovative cosmetic and restorative dentistry can do just that.
I’m Dr. James DeFinnis, a Scranton-area cosmetic dentist. At Back Mountain Dental in Trucksville, PA, I transform smiles and lives in approximately 60 minutes. I know, it sounds cliché, but it’s true. Contemporary dental technology and materials allow me to restore damaged teeth, replace metal dental work, brighten tooth enamel, and correct all kinds of smile imperfections, quickly and comfortably. Here are just a few of the one-visit cosmetic dental procedures that could give you your dream smile:
- CEREC Crowns in an Hour: In about an hour, CEREC creates all-porcelain, shade-matched dental crowns to restore cracked, chipped, or decayed teeth, or to replace metal crowns on front teeth. Placing the crowns takes a little more than an hour, so the entire visit may be a few hours. But that’s better than the traditional two visits! Besides, with CEREC, you won’t have to wear a temporary crown. I also offer porcelain fused to metal and zirconia crowns for molars, but these procedures require two visits.
- KoR Deep Bleaching for Teeth Whitening: The first session of KoR Deep Bleaching occurs in my office, then I will send you home with trays and a solution so that you can continue whitening your smile. You’ll notice results after the first visit, with maximum results occurring after treatment is complete. I prefer KoR Deep Bleaching to one-visit teeth whitening with a light-activated system, which can cause drying of tooth enamel and significant tooth sensitivity.
- Cosmetic Composite Bonding: To repair cavities, replace metal fillings, or correct flaws, like gaps, chips, and discoloration, cosmetic bonding is the one-visit wonder solution.
- Cosmetic Recontouring: A tooth with a jagged edge, whether sharp, serrated, or chipped, can be softened in just one visit with cosmetic recontouring. The results are astonishing.
For more significant cosmetic smile procedures, I invest the appropriate amount of time required to produce durable, beautiful results. I’ll never skimp or sacrifice quality. For instance, porcelain veneers should not be made and placed in one visit, in my opinion. However, when one-hour solutions are practical, effective, and of high quality, I’m on board. Your time is precious, and so is your smile!
